AbstractRecent advances in immunotherapy of cancer may represent a successful example in translational research, in which progress in knowledge and technology in immunology has led to new strategies of immunotherapy, and even past failures in many clinical trials have led to a better understanding of basic cancer immunobiology. This article reviews the latest concepts in antitumor immunology and its application in the treatment of cancer, with particular focus on acute leukemia.
